Thank you for your interest in the role of Executive Principal, National Construction College.

This role is for an ambitious individual with drive and determination seeking to explore the boundaries of what is possible and effective. You will have the wisdom to know where change is needed but not to de-stabilise the current training delivery models. You will be able to lead a quality team to shape excellence in teaching, learning and assessment and provide the Executive Leadership Team with strategic direction and oversight. You will be someone who relishes internal and external engagement and can bring clear leadership attributes to this. You will be part of a wider Executive Leadership Team contributing education and training expertise to the discussions and future plans.

This role would fit an experienced College leader or an individual with previous private training provider senior leadership experience. Equally it would fit with an individual with a desire to make a difference and an understanding of skills and education.

We’re looking for a committed, talented individual who wants to put their passion and energy into helping us support and shape the construction industry and our organisation. This role is not for the faint hearted nor someone who is comfortable with the current training and education status quo.

The construction industry is on the cusp of transformation. The college will be at the forefront of training and education in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have an exceptional track record in training and education delivery, a desire to implement new innovative ways to engage an industry in training and education and the leadership to ensure CITB is a trusted and credible leader in construction and apprentice training.

Our vision for the National Construction Colleges is to become a beacon of excellence for the sector, collaborating with others to share our knowledge, skills and expertise and to raise the quality of construction apprenticeships and industry training. We currently train over 6,000 apprentices and we wish to increase this substantially with all learners championing their experiences with us.
The board of CITB have agreed a significant investment plan for the colleges and this signals an exciting time for growth.
